Reviews and Ratings
My stay at the hotel was a mix of great and not-so-great experiences. The rooms were beautiful and fairly large, adorned nicely, but lacked the lavishness I anticipate from a 5-star hotel due to their age and need for repairs. On the bright side, they did come equipped with all the necessary amenities. The service, particularly on the second night, was top-notch. They went out of their way to accommodate my gluten-free needs, even though the menu wasn't originally designed for that. The staff was very responsive, bringing an ice bucket promptly when requested at night and serving coffee in the wee hours of the morning. Their old-fashioned charm truly matched the hotel's style and character. The location was enchanting, feeling like a true getaway once you cross the noisy old bridge and find yourself in a serene oasis surrounded by nature. A delightful surprise was the abundance of birdlife and wildlife adding to the magical ambiance. I regret not having more time to explore the surroundings, but a morning swim was a great start. When it comes to dining, the experience was equally satisfying. The delicious meals were complemented by small touches like homemade granola and fresh-pressed juices, although there was a slight hiccup with a poached egg. The cold buffet dishes stood out. Unfortunately, the need for spending money to enhance the dining options slightly impacted the overall experience. The hotel facilities were adequate, catering to the essential needs of the guests. Overall, it was a memorable stay with a few hiccups along the way.
I had a fantastic stay at the hotel. The rooms were spacious, clean, and lovely with character and charm. The service was incredibly friendly and attentive. The location was magical, offering a peaceful haven with wildlife thriving. The dining experience had its ups and downs. Overall, a delightful experience with some minor drawbacks.
The hotel offered a spacious and comfortable room that completely met our needs, with a lovely surrounding garden. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay special, even during the holiday season. The location provided a relaxing environment with chances to observe wildlife, though I wish I had more time to explore. The dining experience was delightful, served by friendly staff, and the facilities added to the overall enjoyment of my stay.
